INSTRUCTIONS 1) You will need a USB flash drive formatted to FAT 32. Connect a USB or PS/2 keyboard to the QBox. If PS/2 you will need to reboot the QBox. 2) Extract the all files from the zip. The folder will be called repository, and it will contain many files and folders within it. Copy the repository folder to the root of the USB flash drive. 3) Ensure that your QBox is NOT actively prompting. To do that, simply exit QMaster program. 4) Plug the USB flash drive containing the extracted files into a USB port on the QBox. Wait approximately 10 seconds for the USB flash drive to be registered. 5) Press [F8] on the keyboard connected to the QBox to open the configuration menu. 6) Use the Down arrow key to select Firmware Upgrade. If you receive a message ‘upgrade failed’, this means the QBox can’t find the upgrade files on the USB flash drive. Try a different USB flash drive. 7) The display screen will indicate that the files for the new version are downloaded and copied to your QBox. 8) When the QBox tells you to press any key to reboot, do so. Unplug the USB flash drive at this point. 9) Check that your QBox has been updated by pressing F5 when the QBox is in prompt mode. The firmware version will be shown there. 10) Unplug the keyboard.
