In to setup the IP address please do the following: 1) Plug a USB keyboard into the QBox and wait 20-30 seconds OR if you use a PS/2 plug it in and then reboot the QBox so that it recognizes it. 2) Hit F8 on the keyboard once the QBox is all the way powered up to the prompting screen. 3)Hit Enter (the box "Configure QBox should be highlighted by default" 4)-Hit the down arrow once so that "Network Configuration" is highlighted and press Enter to load that menu //Note: You'll have a lan0 and maybe (if you have an older model) a lan1. Pick whichever you wish to choose (if you have that option). Please note that lan0 is the bottom of the two looking down from the top of the QBox if you are facing the back of it and it is straight up. You can always try the other (again if you have two) if for some reason the other one is picked or if one of them is not working. 5)Move the arrows until lan0 or lan1 is highlighted. Then press Enter //Note that from this menu the keys to navigate around are: 1)The arrow keys 2)The tab key (to move forward in a field) 3)Space bar to toggle checkboxes 6)Either Space or Enter to select the OK or Cancel at the bottom once you have changed all the settings -Make sure that "Interface Enabled" and "Activate at system boot" have an X next to them for the checkboxes. -Go over to the "IPv4 Settings" tab and it is recommended (as we have here) that you use a static IP. For that setting the only checkbox that should be marked is "Manual Configuration". 7)Hit "Tab" until the IP address field is highlighted. This is the tricky part (if you have numbers already entered- if not ignore the next two sentences). You have to hit BACKSPACE to erase the 3/2 values each set. Then enter the numbers to replace that field. Then press "." to go to the next field- hitting backspace again to clear that field and so on. 8)The subnet mask is a classless notation and for that please follow the chart below if you would like a reference. For your subnet put in the one or two digit corresponding number. 9)Put in your gateway doing the same method as above for the IP set. -Hit tab until the top row is highlighted and then hit right once to move it over to "DNS Settings". Set that is you'd like. The default is "Disable DNS". -After that tab down to highlight "OK" and press Enter. 10)You'll probably want to reboot the QBox after that to make sure but when you press Enter out of the above it will restart the network interface so it's technically not required. 11)Once you are back at the prompt screen (all black with just the white arrow) press F5. You should see a row with the IP address you have set if everything has been completed correctly.
